What’s Your Brand
The way that you interact with your customer and clients online is a voice of your business. That voice comes from you and is the story of your business. Tell what your company does and how you can help. Why choose your company or business when there are so many others?
Make Regular Posts
Building an audience is like making friends. Friendships take time, care and attention at the beginning. Then your friendship grows stronger over time. Spending time and putting some effort in to your friendships will give you a chance for success. Posting in a timely and scheduled manner is a good way to stay connected. Post to Facebook once a day and keep your content fresh and in coordination with your brand. If posting to Twitter, it is a good idea to post a few times a day to stay in someone’s news feed.
Use Visuals
Images work much better than text alone. Facebook posts that ask questions, result in more comments than those of informational status. A study of more than 1.3 million posts across the top 10,000 Facebook pages found that posts with images performed better in terms of likes, comments and shares than those without. Pinterest is completely based on sharing images. Eighty percent of the “pins” on the network are people re-pins of content uploaded by other users. When using Twitter, tweets with images receive four times the engagement of standard text posts. Looking at the response to different types of posts you are sending will help you improve your content. Being aware of what works and the metrics will help improve your social media strategy. Time is key in building a social media presence. Reaching new customers and education existing ones. If you start posting regularly and try different things you’ll find out what works best for your business brand.
