- Start adjusting your child’s sleep habits now. Some kids have a hard time getting enough sleep during the first few months of school. It’s not easy switching from their carefree summer mode to all business.
- Lunch is also another important part of the school day. If you pack your child’s lunch or if the buy from the school cafeteria, make sure they are getting the nutrition they need to get through the rest of their day.
- If your child will be taking the school bus to school each day, discuss the rules about riding a bus and teach your child about school bus safety.
- Having a clean, quiet, well-lit space for your children to do their homework can help improve their focus and the amount of time it takes them to get their homework done.
