Samuel Marquis—known simply as Sam around the studio—is a Digital Designer who blends thoughtful design, technical precision, and a natural curiosity about how people interact with the digital world. Driven by a belief that design should serve people first, Sam approaches every project with a balance of creativity and empathy. His philosophy is simple: great design doesn’t just look good—it helps people navigate information, understand brands, and connect with ideas in meaningful ways.

Originally from New Hampshire and now happily settled in Massachusetts, Sam joined the 1-Stop Design Shop team with a passion for creating sleek, functional digital experiences. His interests sit at the intersection of design, technology, and human behavior, which allows him to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging visuals. For Sam, design is about more than aesthetics—it’s about solving problems and creating intuitive experiences for the people using them.

In his role as Digital Designer, Sam works across a wide range of projects, from website design and branding to digital marketing assets and campaign visuals. He collaborates closely with the creative director, developers, and clients to bring ideas to life from concept through completion. Whether designing responsive website layouts, creating graphics for social media and email campaigns, or refining typography and color systems, Sam focuses on building work that feels polished, cohesive, and user-focused.

Things he loves: He enjoys cycling, skateboarding, and painting, and recently celebrated marrying his wife, Katie. One thing about Sam that quickly becomes clear: he has a strong appreciation for the color yellow—specifically a golden sunset yellow. It shows up throughout his day, from the mug that holds his morning coffee to the eye-catching yellow electric Mustang he enjoys driving.

As for dislikes: Sam keeps things simple: shrimp is firmly off the menu, and people who don’t use their blinkers while driving rank high on the list as well.
